On Monday, eight of our Year 10 students attended a Mathemagic event at the University of Manchester. 

The day was packed with activities ranging from the maths behind tricks, to investigating the properties of Moebius strips.  There was a riveting talk by the renowned maths communicator, Colin Wright, who wowed us with his amazing juggling whilst simultaneously explaining how he could alter the pattern to develop more elaborate throws.  The day ended with an exciting Dragon quiz which required solving fiendishly tricky puzzles.

A great day was had by all.
