Sixth Form Assembly with Tony Collier

Many thanks to Tony Collier who delivered an assembly to our sixth form students to raise awareness for Prostate cancer and Men’s mental health.

Tony spoke of his incredible fundraising achievements since receiving his terminal cancer diagnosis. As well as running the London Marathon, he ran 970 miles for 970 people who lost their lives to Prostate Cancer in 2019 and his most recent success of running 5k a day for 365 days raised 16k for ‘Move Against Cancer’ which he completed last week.

Tony organised the ‘Paint Altrincham Blue’ campaign last November in which 3 of our students participated in the Art Trial.

Tony was accompanied by Karen Wroe, Chair of Trafford Rotary Society who presented Abby Smith with the Judges Choice prize for her artwork.

Tony’s final message to our students was:

‘Be your very best; Never believe that you can’t do something. Everything is possible if you push back those barriers’

Thank you, Tony, for your inspirational words.
