KS4 Reward Trip

Mrs Thomson, Mrs Firth and I took 39 KS4 pupils to the Trafford Centre for a Christmas reward trip. Part of our roles as Director of Key Stage and Pastoral Managers is to reward pupils for their effort and commitment to their studies. We, as a Key Stage, focus on Attendance, Behaviour and Currency (academic outcomes and character).  These ABC principles have underpinned the ethos of the Key Stage and as a result are the foundation for selection on the trip.

During the day the pupils got to play crazy golf and had a game of bowling, whilst also having some down time to explore/shop. The day did start with a 15K trek from the spot where Mrs Firth decided to park the buses. As you can imagine, the pupils were delighted with this in the current cold weather. Joking aside, their attitude was amazing all day and were a credit to the school. Several members of the public, including the staff at the activities, commented on how well behaved and polite they were. They seemed to enjoy the day and we were proud to take them. Merry Christmas from the KS4 team.
