James Aston 8JHY

Congratulations to James Aston in Year 8 who entered the British Youth Sailing RYA Regional Championships ‘Regatta’ Fleet at Ullswater on 18 and 19 June 2022 as helm of an RS Feva XL sailing dinghy with his crew James Kay – they came first   in their class!

In total there were around 90 boats competing in the event, about a third of them in the Regatta fleet.  The ‘Regatta’ Fleet is the middle fleet, second to the ‘Championship’ Fleet – so James is destined to compete in that Championship Fleet next year! 

They did brilliantly, demonstrating skill, determination, team work and stamina – and they really enjoyed themselves – well done James and James!
