Congratulations to the U18 boys hockey team who played Birkenhead School on Wednesday. With the support of a few of younger players, we showed some super play in attack and great composure in defence. We went down 2-0 but pulled it back to 2-2. Finn O’Brien scored the final goal and also received man of the match from the opposing team. I must also mention Max Wakefield from Year 9 who stepped in at the last minute and scored the opener!

The Year 9 boys and girls also played their first games. The boys narrowly lost 3-2 to St Bedes and Sam Gough was awarded player of the match. The girls played against St Bedes, Withington, Lymm and Loreto. There were many 0-0 games and we came 4th overall. Lucy Winter received girl of the game against every opponent (!) and Esme Burt received it from her teammates.

Huge well done all who played this week!
