As part of their Duke of Edinburgh award, 3 Year 9 students have been volunteering in the LRC. We thought it would be nice if we could get out of school and take some books to the Willows Primary School to read with the pupils there.

 

Ella, Kelly and Kylie got a very warm, enthusiastic welcome from the children and they were certainly kept busy over the lunchtime; they were very impressed with the children’s reading and had fun reading to each other and roaring like the dinosaurs they found in the book!

 

The girls really engaged the younger children and we look forward to returning again over the Summer Term
