Silver DofE
Our Silver DofE Award launched this week and places are now available for our Year 10 students who completed their Bronze expedition last year. Please find details on Class Charts and on ParentPay or see me. If you would like to progress your DofE to the next level please act now as applications close on 27th February 2023 or as soon as the limited places we have available are filled. In my experience Silver level is the most enjoyable. Participants know what to expect from their past experience and the additional challenges are taken in their stride. The Silver Award is of course a far rarer accolade and this adds considerably to the satisfaction of achieving it.
Bronze DofE
The interest in our DofE Bronze programme this year has been incredible. To meet demand, we have set up two expeditions and three waves of training have commenced and are going well. Please note the three waves are running in parallel and on different dates so you will train with your group but not necessarily with all your classmates.
Rucksack Hire
We have just launched our rucksack hire scheme and this is currently accessible for those on the first Bronze expedition dates (21st-22nd April 2023). We have a limited number of brand new quality rucksack available for use on expedition for a hire charge of just £10. We have carefully chosen the model and can offer the rare ‘slim Jim’ size that will be perfect fit for most of our students. We also have standard sizes and both sizes are fully adjustable to get the perfect fit that is so important. So if you prefer not to invest in the purchase of this expensive piece of kit then please see ParentPay to book your hire. A similar scheme will soon be available for those on the second expedition dates (12th– 13th May 2023) and also for our Silver Award in due course.
