Chris Warburton Visit

On Wednesday, the BBC presenter Chris Warburton came in to speak to year 10 Media Studies students about his career in broadcasting and to give advice for students who may be considering a career in the media.

Chris spoke about his experiences as a radio presenter on BBC 5Live and the different events he has covered, ranging from Champions League finals to the death of the Queen. He answered questions that students had about his career and also explained what goes on behind the scenes to ensure that a programme is ready for broadcast.

The talk ended with Chris imparting fantastic advice to the students on what they need to do in order to be successful in the media industry, advising that they need to be passionate, curious and to always persevere.

Sincere thanks to Chris for giving up his time to come and share his insights with us – and also for staying after the talk had finished to speak to students individually and have photos taken with them!
