LRC News
Congratulations to Fergus Eccles ( Year 8) and Chloe Keung ( Year 7) for borrowing the most books this term!
A special mention goes to Fergus, whose borrowing total has been truly record-breaking.
It’s been another busy and exciting year in the LRC. Pupils have taken part in the Trafford Book Awards, celebrated World Book Day, enjoyed visits to Altrincham Library, participated in inspiring poetry workshops, and shared stories with younger pupils at The Willows. There was also the ever-popular Project in a Day, where pupils put their detective skills to the test to solve the mystery: Who Murdered the Librarian’s Assistant?
Alongside these special events, our weekly Book Club has continued to thrive, as well as all of our regular library lessons. Thank you to everyone who has helped make the LRC such a vibrant and enthusiastic reading community this year.
We are also very excited about the new Little Library, which will soon be installed in Pickering Lodge Park on the side of the bowling clubhouse. The idea is simple: choose a book to take, enjoy reading it, and, if you can, replenish the library with any pre-loved books you have at home. We hope it will encourage even more people in our community to discover the joy of reading and sharing books.
We look forward to even more reading adventures next year – enjoy your summer reading!
