Project in A Day: Year 7

On Friday, Year 7 completed one of fifteen projects hosted by a multitude of staff in our biggest Project in a Day yet!
From Murder by the Book, to Make Your Own Music Video, to a performance of The Lion King, and of course Chirpy, Chirpy, Cheep, Cheep birdhouse-making, the pupils couldn’t have asked for more to choose from! Some pupils got into Hogwarts and learned how to make potions!
There were a number of projects linked to Wellbeing and Mindfulness too: especially in the creative arts through the Worldview Time Capsule project and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Our popular Dungeons and Dragons club was also represented too and Draw It, Write It, Shoot It allowed pupils to create their own film while the ‘Zine team produced their first issue! Culturally, a number of pupils were involved in learning more about Dia de los Muertos while some also created their own music piece titled Sounds of Wellington.
And to top it all off, the Mystery Sport project was revealed: Kin Ball! Basically, take a giant ball, learn how to control it as a team and bat it towards the goal! What a great sport!
The pupils were exceptional and I can’t thank the staff involved enough!

Well done Year 7!
