Wellbeing Leaders
We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Connor Rand, who met with our Wellbeing Leaders to discuss the growing mental health challenges facing young people today. The students asked thoughtful and challenging questions about his plans to address the current mental health crisis, highlighting the importance of improving access to support and ensuring that young people’s emotional wellbeing remains a priority. With increasing numbers of children and young people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, and other mental health difficulties, the need for early intervention, effective support systems, and greater awareness has never been more important. It was encouraging to hear Connor’s commitment to improving mental health provision and to see that he shares our belief that investing in the wellbeing of young people is essential for their future success and happiness. We look forward to continuing to work with him to help raise awareness, promote positive mental health, and support meaningful improvements for young people in our community.
