Year 8 Geography Fieldwork
On Wednesday, our Year 8 students ventured out to Altrincham with the Geography Department to collect the data for their fieldwork investigation. The focus of the trip was to explore the success of regeneration in the area — a key topic in their Geography curriculum.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a variety of practical research activities including pedestrian counts, field sketches, environmental quality surveys, questionnaires, and land use surveys. These methods gave them first-hand insight into how urban areas can change and develop over time.
We were particularly impressed with the enthusiasm and maturity shown by our students. They approached members of the public with politeness and confidence, representing the school exceptionally well.
Well done, Year 8! Your hard work and commitment were clear to see, and we are very proud of you.
