Wear Red Day 2025 – Friday 17th Oct
Last Friday, we proudly took part in Wear Red Day, partnering with the charity Show Racism the Red Card. This organization is dedicated to promoting anti-racism in communities through education. To celebrate the diversity within our school and raise awareness about anti-racism, our students wore something red.
Our Race Equality Council worked diligently, visiting tutor groups during morning registration to sell badges and wristbands. We were also grateful to local supermarkets for their generous donations of donuts, which were sold on Friday to raise funds for the charity.
During Friday’s break, our sale of donuts, red lollies, badges, and wristbands was a great success. Thanks to the generosity of our students and parents, we have raised an impressive £764.50.
A huge thank you to our Race Equality Council for their hard work and dedication in making this event a success—some of these students are in Year 7! It’s inspiring to see our young people so eager to make a positive impact.
We also extend our gratitude to Sainsbury’s Altrincham, Tesco Altrincham, and Co-op Maple Road for their very generous donations of donuts. Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Waring had to wheel these treats into school Friday morning!
