This week we took two teams to compete in the Regional Dodgeball Championships at Eccles Sixth Form College.  For the Year 8 team this was nothing new as they are the current National Champions, but it was a new experience for the Year 7 team.

 

Both teams played against all 7 other teams in a round robin format.  The Year 7 team, in their first ever tournament, played brilliantly, kept their discipline and were unbeaten until they had to play our Year 8 team.    The game was slightly one sided with the Year 8s coming out on top BUT  the Year 7s were the only team in the tournament to take a point from them – it finished 9-1.  The outstanding Year 8 team swept all of the other teams aside, winning every game (apart from 1) 10-0, without losing one set. 

 

 A fantastic performance by both teams means that we finished first and second and BOTH teams will qualify for the National Finals later in the year.
