New Islington Fieldtrip

This week, the Year 10 geographers conducted their human fieldwork investigation with a visit to New Islington, Manchester. The day began with a walking tour of key regeneration sites, including the Etihad Campus, New Islington Marina, and Piccadilly Basin.

Students took part in a range of fieldwork activities, including environmental quality surveys, field sketches, and land use mapping—gaining valuable insight into urban change and regeneration.

In the afternoon, they enjoyed some well-earned free time at the Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre.

On behalf of the Geography team, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to students for their hard work and enthusiasm. We were truly impressed by the focus, maturity, and positive attitude they demonstrated throughout the day. They listened attentively, behaved respectfully, and their consideration for the public did not go unnoticed.

A fantastic and rewarding day – well done to all involved!
