Film Studies: Into Film Competition WINNERS!

We are delighted to share an exciting update from our Film Studies department.

Four of our Year 13 students won a national storyboard competition last year as part of the Into Film ‘Time to Inspire’ challenge – an outstanding achievement that led them to London, where they visited Netflix headquarters to film a pitch for a three-minute short film. Their prize was the incredible opportunity to have their concept brought to life by a professional production team.

Recently, the students spent two intensive days working with a professional film crew and actors, gaining valuable hands-on experience with specialist equipment and receiving expert guidance throughout the filming process. It was truly inspiring to see their creativity, teamwork and confidence flourish.

This week, we were also delighted to welcome a team of professional editors to the school. Students were able to contribute directly to the editing of their film, adding their own creative input to the final stages of production.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the pupils from Years 10, 11 and 12 who supported the project as extras.

We are very much looking forward to seeing the finished film when it is screened in a cinema setting and showcased at the Into Film Festival. Congratulations to Charlotte Davenport, Emaan Humayun, Lily Scott and Matilda Macnab – what an amazing opportunity!
