On Monday Greater Manchester Community Renewables visited Eco-committee to tell them more about their project to get solar panels on the roof of the school. It was a really interesting session, eco-committee heard all about the project and shared some ideas for fundraising the money needed for the installation. £350 000 needs to be raised to get the solar panels installed, however over 20 years the saving to the school will be £180 000, so well worth doing! Obviously, eco-committee were also very interested in the 500 Tonne carbon saving which is amazing!
