Welcome to the Wellington School website.  

I hope you find the information herein useful; we have tried to strike a balance by providing some essentials, items for the more curious among us and snippets of everyday life at Wellington that reflect our vibrant community, the Values we subscribe to and, quite frankly, the fun we have. Hopefully, there isn’t information overload and you can all find what you’re looking for. If not, please let us know (N.B. under the parent tab there is a handy guide for parents on communicating with School – the who/when/how, if you like).  

There is so much I could write here (inevitably, I’m often guilty of waxing lyrical about this place) after a truly wonderful and immensely rewarding 13 years of Headship but you can find my ramblings in the intros to the prospectus, our Newsletter and elsewhere. For now, if you wish to get a flavour of what we’re all about, take a look at our School Values and our Vision Statement and then, when you get chance, pay us a visit (we have an Open Morning in June and Wellington at Work tours for those who can’t make it) and decide for yourself whether we’re true to our word. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.  

In short, it is our belief that if you take care of the ‘other stuff’ then the ‘outcomes’ will look after themselves: we are genuinely a ‘community’; we are diverse and inclusive; we have a relational approach to behaviour and our young people, their families and our staff body feel a strong sense of belonging.
