Admissions to Year 7 – September 2026

Applications for Year 7 in September 2026 are to be made via your Local Authority.  The deadline for applications was 31st October 2025.

If you have missed the deadline, please contact School Admissions at your Local Authority.

Offers for Year 7 September 2026 will go out on 2nd March 2026.  If you are not successful in securing a place at Wellington School you can:

1. Request to go on the Wellington School waiting list

You must inform Trafford Local Authority of your wish for your son/daughter to be added to our waiting list.

2. Appeal against the decision not to allocate your child a place

You have, of course, the right to appeal against the School’s decision.

There will be a meeting for all parents appealing against the School’s decision not to offer places on Thursday, 30th April 2026 at 6.00 p.m. At this meeting School will present its case as to why places have not been offered.

Parents will then be given the opportunity to present their cases at individual hearings, starting from 5th May 2026. Parents will be contacted in writing when a date/time has been arranged for their Appeal.

On time Appellants will receive at least 10 school days’ notice of their Appeal Hearing.
