Year 7 Trip to Chester Zoo
Miss Tyrer with this trip report:
“On Friday 16th March, 120 Year 7 pupils participated in our annual Chester Zoo trip. The trip is part of the celebrations for National Science Week and explored the topics of Ecology and Biodiversity with the pupils. Pupils found out about animal adaptations for their specific habitats, how they act with other animals of the same species and what they eat. We took trips through the bat cave, had a scenic boat tour to see the animals and rounded it off with a competition!
The winners of the competition for best animal & corresponding habitat design were Charlie Sutcliffe & Ainoor Elnagi, who both receive Easter eggs as prizes.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s trip!”
