Year 7 Cricket – 21.06.17
Mr Morgan with this match report:
“The Year 7 cricket team beat Lymm High School by 33 runs on Wednesday afternoon. Batting first Wellington scored 77 runs in their 15 overs, Harry Edmundson was excellent retiring on 30 not out. He was supported well by Louis Hart, Will Burke and Chris Bray all scoring quick runs on a tricky wicket. The blisteringly hot weather required a focussed bowling and fielding effort which is exactly what Wellington produced, line and length with aggressive fielding gave the home team no room for error. The wickets tumbled with Hart, Edmundson and Bray all taking wickets, it was really encouraging to see the boys who were in their first season of hardball cricket taking wickets towards the end of the game, Zak Lineham, Stewart Chaisty and Ebrahim Dosseji all chipping in to get rid of the Lymm tail end. Well done for a super win on one of the hottest days umpiring I can remember.”
