Year 12 Politics Trip – 10.09.17
Mr Scott with this trip report:
“The new A Level politics course started with a bang with a trip to Parliament and The Supreme Court on Monday. The day started with a superb guided tour which gave a historical insight into the development of parliament as well as the inner workings of Westminster. Students were then given the chance to put their questions to local MP Graham Brady who was given a good grilling on everything from Brexit to the budget. The visit was topped off with a tour of The Supreme Court where students learnt about a range of complex cases and debated the moral issues which have shaped society in the UK today. Both students and staff were left enthused by the end of the day. What a great wait to kick off politics at Wellington, the lobbying of Mr Beeley for the 2018 Washington DC politics trip begins!”
