Year 10 Geography Trip
Miss Hennessey with this trip report:
“The Year 10 geographers had a fantastic time this week visiting the Etihad Campus and New Islington. The students were investigating the impact the closure of the Bradford Colliery had on East Manchester. They also consider the success of recent regeneration projects to improve the environment and the economy. The day began with a brisk walk to the Metrolink to travel to the Etihad Campus, followed by a lecture about Urban Regeneration and a tour of the stadium. The students then walked through New Islington towards Piccadilly Basin collecting data as they went. I am very proud to say that the students’ behaviour and level of engagement was exemplary. They are all a credit to the school. Well done Year 10, our budding geographers!”
