“Wellington Wordles” Book Group

Mrs Gilbert with this book group news:

“The Carnegie book award shortlist was announced in March and the winner will be revealed on the 19th June. The “Wellington Wordles” are a book group which is “shadowing” this award; we meet every Thursday morning in the LRC to discuss the books from the shortlist we have read.

We have a web page where we can blog, review the books, create polls and rate the books. Let’s see if we agree with the judges when the winner is revealed!

The favourite so far seems to be Sputnik’s Guide to Life on Earth by Frank Cottrell Boyce – Could you save the planet by showing an invading alien ten things worth seeing or doing on Earth..?”
