Wellington Primary Team Maths Challenge

“On Tuesday, Year 5 students from our feeder primary schools descended on the Vale Hall to take part in the inaugural Wellington Primary Team Maths Challenge.

The standard of mathematics on show was absolutely incredible as the teams of four tackled a group round, a speed round, a shuttle round and the chaos of a relay round in a bid to be named champions. 

Congratulations to Stamford Park who ran out as the overall winners, with Broomwood (Y) runners up and Navigation (X) in third position in a closely contested competition. 

All the students involved were a credit to themselves and their schools as they demonstrated exemplary behaviour, great teamwork and a friendly yet competitive spirit throughout the afternoon.

A big thank you also to all the sixth form helpers who ensured the event ran smoothly and successfully.”
