UK Youth Rocketry Challenge

Mr Stafford writes:

“On Wednesday we were due to compete in the UK Youth Rocketry challenge in York, however poor weather led to the event being postponed to the 9th May. This has given students, Mr Eckersley and Mr Kempster more time to further refine our rocket design. This week we experimented with adding quick match and setting up the detonation system to set off the explosives in the rocket using an electrical circuit at long range.  Students are now fully competent in building the rockets, installing the parachutes and payload of a raw egg, and our rockets are fully decorated.  Wish us luck for the event on Wednesday!”
