National Poetry Day
Last week, ten winners were selected for the National Poetry Day competition; each contribution offering something interesting and exciting. All winners received a Competition Winner Certificate and an accompanying badge to reward their efforts.
Since last week, I have selected a winner from each year group which was a difficult task as the standard of poetry has been exceptional this year. Congratulations to the following winners:
- Chloe Bedicer 9Y1
- Jack Henly-Wild- 8S
- Libby Harry- 7S
As a prize, each of these pupils have received a beautifully illustrated copy of ‘Poetry for Kids: William Shakespeare’. Congratulations once again to Chloe, Jack and Libby whose poems are truly inspiring! After half-term, their poems will be showcased on the new National Poetry Day display board, alongside poetry entries from other pupils.
