National Apprenticeship Show – 17.10.17
“A whirlwind few hours saw 95 students from years 10-13 visit The National Apprenticeship Show at Manchester Central on Tuesday” writes Mr Holt.
“Representatives of organisations as diverse and internationally recognised as the NHS, Siemens, Renault and GCHQ were among 90 exhibitors on hand to talk students through their future options and offer advice as to their next steps. As you can see from the photographs, there was plenty of hands-on experience on offer as well as plenty of fun to be had.
Many of our students left with a much firmer idea of what they now need to do in order to pursue their chosen pathway, while many others were able to discount certain careers based on the conversations they had with the experts on hand. The day was particularly memorable for Sunnie Wilcock from Year 11 however, as he scooped top prize in the Co-Op prize draw and left with a brand new iPad, as well as a head full of good advice!”
