Key Stage 3 News
Mr Tomlinson with this KS3 news:
“On Monday 78 students (across Year 7-9) took part in their second part of the Elevate programme. Luke from elevate took students through a seminar on Junior Time Management looking at organisational the skills for long term learning. Students had to map out their hobbies, sleep patterns, gaming and favourite programmes initially. Then students had to put in the time available to complete homework and projects. Really useful tips on revising hard topics and strategies within the revision. The picture shows some of our Year 7 students answering questions about issues with doing homework.
On Wednesday Mr Beeley and Mrs Cooper had the pleasure of having breakfast with 45 students (15 from each year group 7-9). 30 of the students were our highest number of positive points with a 100% ratio over the last 5 weeks. 15 of the students were our “most improved” in ratio from the 5 weeks before Christmas to the 5 weeks after Christmas. It was a great atmosphere in the dining hall as students helped themselves to waffles, pancakes and hot chocolate.”
