Miss Ryan with this update on what’s been happening in Food Technology:
Year 11 NEA 2 GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
“Over the past two weeks, pupils studying GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition have started making the first dishes for the NEA 2 project which is worth 35% of their final grade. The first 4 dishes to be made must not only be relevant to the chosen task but also demonstrate the wide variety of practical skills learnt over the course of Year 10.
All pupils involved have made a fantastic start to this and have worked really hard to plan and deliver each dish. They all look amazing as I’m sure you’ll agree from seeing the pictures featured.
Well done year 11. Excellent effort.”
Year 9 – Vegetarian Project Assessment
“Year 9 have been working on a vegetarian project, culminating in a 2 dishes in 2 hours challenge. As you can imagine the final practical lesson is very hectic but pupils rose to the challenge, producing a wide array of mouth-watering dishes.
Definitely some Master Chefs in the making.”
