Dignity Action Day 2018

“Sing with 7s were honoured to be asked by Wyncourt Nursing Home to perform some songs to the residents on Dignity Action Day 2018.

Dignity Action Day is organised by the Dignity in Care organisation and it aims to give everyone the opportunity to contribute to upholding people’s rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people receiving care. Dignity Action Day aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives. 

The choir sang a few songs as well as spending time chatting to some of the residents at Wyncourt. 

I think the highlight of the morning for the 7s were the gingerbread hearts we were given as a gift which had been prepared by some of the residents for us. They didn’t even make the short trip back to school. We look forward to visiting them again soon.”
