Design a Corgi
As part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Altrincham BID is working with Inch Arts to present Altrincham’s largest town-wide art event, ‘Trooping the Corgis’.
We are delighted to share the news that Wellington School have successfully applied for a life-sized corgi sculpture which once designed and painted will be on guard throughout June and will be regally displayed in the windows and foyers of shops and businesses around the town.
We are running an exciting competition throughout KS3 to design a Corgi. The 3 students with the best designs will win the opportunity to work with local Artist, Michelle Taube.
Students will have the day off timetable to work alongside her in bringing their ideas to life.
Design Brief: The corgi should show landmarks from your local area. You could include our school, our school values, local maps, signs, shop fronts, local buildings, greenery, trees.
Competition sheets can be collected from your Art Teachers.
Corgis must be designed and fully coloured.
Deadline for entries is Friday 6th May.
We are really excited about this fantastic opportunity and hope that many students take part.
