Crochet Club

“Miwa Bailey 7NMN has completed the first piece of Amigurumi in crochet club”, writes Mrs Cook. “It is entirely her own design and is a very cute looking toadstool. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. I am really impressed with Miwa as she has designed and created this piece entirely by herself, using a variety of crochet techniques, without following a pattern. A very impressive feat!

In other news, there are some lovely granny square blankets currently underway and Kaja Davies 7CSN is crocheting her 2nd or 3rd project this year using one of the biggest balls of wool I’ve ever seen!

New members are always welcome, we are in room 56 on Monday lunchtimes. No need to buy a hook or wool as we can provide these during lunchtime but if you wish to practise at home, you might want to invest in your own equipment.  The key to learning any new skill is practice!”
