Careers Lunch Time Drop-In Sessions
Mrs Mackay with an update on careers lunch time drop-in sessions this week:
“On Monday 6th February Army SGT Paul Martin visited school over lunch time to provide students with information, advice and guidance on Apprenticeships and Careers offered within the Army, not necessarily involving combat. These included Student Nurse, Biomedical Scientist, Operating Department Practitioner, Radiographer, Pharmacy Technician, Environmental Health Technician, Dental Nurse, Healthcare Assistant plus many others.
Year’s 8 to 13 were invited to attend.
On Wednesday 8th February Roman Dibden from The Skills Council set up his stand to give information, advice and guidance to Years 8, 9 and 10 and to inform Years 11,12 and 13 about Apprenticeship opportunities available in September 2017. He offered advice on “How to apply and Interview Procedures.
These lunch time sessions are extremely beneficial to students and their career paths and we would like to thank all those who have been involved so far this year.”
