Big Bang Fair Trip to Birmingham
This trip report from Mr Crabbe:
“Early on Wednesday morning, 40 Year 9 pupils boarded a coach bound for the NEC in Birmingham and the amazing Big Bang Fair!
There were literally hundreds of exhibits and activities to try, from medical and marine biology to explosive chemistry and mind-blowing physics there was plenty there to keep our enthusiastic scientists investigating for hours.”
This from Jacob Roberts (9RKY):
“The science Big Bang Fair had STEM projects of everything from the Army to theatre production and so many competitions and interesting things to see and try. There was a Virtual Reality Station hosted by the Royal Marines that allowed you to drive a speedboat through an obstacle course (I may have caused a military disaster in the Portsmouth harbour simulation by repeating crashing into a battleship…).
There were examples of fascinating prototype machines that we all might be using someday. It was an excellent day.”
