Cyber Discovery Club

“A new lunchtime activity launched last week in the Computing Department: Cyber Discovery” writes Mr Little. “This is a government scheme to encourage more people into the Cyber Security profession. It consists of a range of puzzles and challenges that become increasingly difficult. There are four stages, the last of which is a training camp next year. Students don’t need to be studying Computer Science or IT, and no prior experience is needed. It is open to everyone aged 14-18 but the first stage must be completed by 7th January. Students should go to room 57 on Thursday lunchtimes to get started, but work can take place any time. Leading the way so far is Tom Valentine in Year 12, who has nearly finished the first stage.”
