Carol Service

“Looking back at 2018, the culmination of a busy term for the Music Department was our annual Carol Service (first one for me) which took place on Monday 17th December at Christ Church, Timperley” writes Miss Lee. “We would like to thank Christ Church for allowing us to conduct our Christmas celebrations with them.

Thank you to all the students, staff and members of Community Choir for their hard work in the run up to the Carol Service. The quality of the performances from all our ensembles and readers were extremely high and many veterans of the service have commented that the standard keeps getting higher.

Special mention must also go to Lucy Allan and Eleanor Marsh in Year 11 who as well as performing in Sing and Rock Band also led our Year 7 Choir, Sing with 7s, and Rob King who took over conducting Sing and Community Choir in Mrs Moorhouse’s absence.

I must also thank Ben Ryder who was our pianist for some congregational hymns and Tom Waters who took charge of the sound and mixing desk. This was their last Wellington CaroI Service, what will we do without them next year?

Thank you to all the parents and relatives who also came to support all our students. I know you’ll agree that they really showed you the best of Wellington.”
